We Lost the battle but we may still win the War!!!

Well we didn't manage to win the match against England but I must commend our squad as we managed to hold England at bay for 83 full minutes and only after that did they get through. We managed to score a single goal but it was ruled offside and although we didn't win I am still glad that we played well.

There was a really close attempt on goal made during the first half but it was not to be, however, it made the English team take us more seriously. I was glad for that but I still wish we could have won.

I am still proud that we made it this far and not only that but the fact that the team is making it difficult for goals to be scored against them is a plus in my eyes. The commentator certainly had more positive things to say and I felt that he was treating us with the respect we deserved. He approached us as a veteran team in terms of his comments and after his mostly offensive comments last Saturday, it was a welcome change.

I still have hope that we'll make it into the second round but only Tuesday's match will tell. We do have a point after all.

I promised to pimp this out the minute I read it 'cause it made me get all emotional and people who know me know that it takes a lot to get me all choked up so this fic deserves a read and more pimping 'cause it's just that great.

By emotional I mean jaw-dropping, slapping your hands over your mouth in disbelief and wonder and also just making you sit back in your chair and go...."holy shit... yeah... that's it."
