I have had a long love affair with Reno from Final Fantasy VII but there comes a time when things must change. I have fallen in deep deep fag hag love with Kurt Hummel from Glee and as such have changed my icon to reflect my love for this show!!!!

Dec. 7th, 2006 01:48 pmSo yeah I've watched almost all the episodes of this year's America's next Top Model and yes I know its evil reality Tv but sometimes I like the braindrain that it causes.
Anyway the winner was
Ha! in your face Melrose
Now I admit that Caridee was terrible in the runway show but seriously I was ridiculously happy that Melrose didn't win. She was so beyond Fake that she took Fake to a whole different level. Yes her pictures were good but makeup and a great photographer can do wonders and seriously she just didn't have the spark of realness that some of the other girls had. She was all about her, whether it was speaking about her life or about the competition but really she rubbed everybody the wrong way and it made for good tv but seriously if she had won there would have been mass vomiting going on.
Anyway I think that the better person won and hopefully she'll tone it a bit down and we'll see more of her to come.

Another Great Yesterday
Nov. 20th, 2006 09:58 amYesterday was the wedding of one of my good friends and for her I wore a dress. Yes that is a big deal because I'm a pants girl, no dresses for me at all and in fact the only sort of drapey thing I wear is Kimonos. Anyway piccies will be forthcoming as soon as I upload them. I looked really pretty if I do say so myself, I had my hair done, my manicure and pedicure were spot on and the dress was lovely. I think it was most respresentative of the beauty of space but you'll be the judge when I upload the pics.
On the whole, the wedding passed wonderfully, the food was excellent and the dessert was great. I got to sit with people I knew and I had a ride to and from the event. It was a really lovely evening.
The hairstyle has held up masterfully and I wore it work today. Mostly because I came home too late to take it down since it was done up very high and hairsprayed to perfection.
I feel pretty and will use an Icon to represent this state

Earthquake Update
Sep. 29th, 2006 07:58 pmWe got word tonight of the Magnitude of the Earthquake this morning. It was a 5.8 on the Richter Scale and after 2pm today we had an aftershock that measured a 5.5 on the Richter Scale, so yeah we had a very *exciting* day. We were released from work early at 3pm instead at 4.30 pm mostly because our boss was apprehensive about staying in the building.
There is structural damage to some of the buildings on the compound but no-one was hurt.
It was really one of the largest earthquakes to hit us recently and though we thankfully did not experience the devastation that usually occurs when one so strong hits, we still were made aware that our island is not equiped to handle such a natural disaster.
Hopefully the aftershocks that are to follow will be moderate and that will be it. But believe me when I say that I'll be sleeping with one eye open tonight.
We even made the BBC News.

Earthquake
Sep. 29th, 2006 09:21 amWe just had a fairly intense earthquake here in Trinidad, The entire office shook left to right for what seemed a long time but may have only been 30 secs - 1 minute. There were two hard rocks and then a series of smaller aftershocks. Everything stopped for a while but things went back to normal within 15 minutes. Of course it scared us for a bit and people left the office but so far everything seems to be ok. Cell reception is down though as per usual when these things happen and everyone wants to make sure that their loved ones are ok.

Death of a Fighter
Sep. 6th, 2006 10:19 amDuuuude...... I stay away because of work from the world at large and I come back to find it a darker place. Steve Irwin The Crocodile Hunter was killed by a Sting Ray.....how sad and somehow apt....that his death would be caused by nature. I dunno but I really felt bad when I heard that he had passed on, I mean he was one of those guys you think is going to be around forever and to have his life cut short at 44 years of age is a really sad thing. His children are so young and its a really hard thing to grow up without a father especially one as loving as he showed himself to be. I really feel for the entire family.
