Good Times
Mar. 9th, 2007 03:30 pmI always seem to forget to record the good times in this journal of mine and instead I record the bad times well anyway this is a good one.
I got my new contract Wednesday so a friend and I went to Jenny's on the Boulevard to Celebrate....its a really nice place with a sort of bar/grill downstairs and formal dining upstairs. Its a Chinese restaurant by the way and its been a while since I went out to eat so it was doubly fun. We had a few dishes and the highlight for me was the Hot Butter Fried Pepper Squid...YUM!!!
I haven't had good squid for a while and I was most pleased.
Aside from that I met one of the best teachers I've ever had in the restaurant. He came to Trinidad for a short Visit with his company and decided to stay for his Dad's birthday and also to catch some of the Cricket World Cup which is being held here.
It was really great to see him, he works in Nova Scotia and so migrated a while aback, its been literally almost eleven years since I last saw him and for him to still remember me means I made quite the impression back in 1994. Yeah its been that long.
Anyway the night passed really well, then the realisation that I had to travel out of Town after 8pm struck and like Cinderella I made a mad dash for city gate. Oi, dread I need some form of wheels to get to my destinations man. At this point I'd take a scooter, motorcycle, moped, anything electric or fuel powered. Everywhere is too damn far to bicycle towards. Ah Boy!!
