I am completely surprised by how much sadness this makes me feel. I feel like a visionary has left us all bereft. I was never a Mac user. I prefer Windows, but when I was given an Ipod Touch my world expanded. The itunes store gave me such media control at my finger tips. The day the Ipad was inveiled my heart skipped a beat since there was the Star Trek Padd come to life and available to the wider world for consumption. I have been melded to my Ipod Touch for 3 years, and I planned to buy myself an Ipad soonish. When the Iphone 5 was revealed and the AI Siri was revealed we joked about Skynet being awakened. It saddens me greatly that Steve Jobs did not live to see this come to fruition.
Its amazing that a person has touched my life by virtue of me owning a piece of technology.
I hope that wherever his soul now rests, that he is at peace.
