About that birthday...

romyraYesterday was the birthday of laurapetri and boy was it.
I got down by her well after 7pm since I was kept back in work and I had to get home to bathe and dress, luckily I got a taxi right outside my door, first time that has ever happened and I was in the junction within a few minutes. The ride to Arima honestly is like travelling backwards in time, you go nowhere fast. I finally reached, we met up and I was fed. YAY!!
Then there were the presents, I got her a fantasy short story collection and a Japanese Cane Scroll wall hanging which she bounced off the walls to receive...**I'm sorry but you really made my gift worthwhile with that reaction**. Another friend met us and we finalized plans to go to the Nightclub Zen. It was my first time there since it opened...it took that long 'cause the roommate can't be bothered to invite a body out when she is going and alas I will not travel anywhere alone after 10 pm at night or 4 am in the morning.
Soooo anyway I finally went....hmmmm....it was ok, clean bathrooms and such which is a point in their favour. Ummmm in case you were wondering, I make it a point to critique the bathroom area of anywhere I visit, 'cause if the bathroom is filthy, chances are everything else in the establishment is and I won't spend my hard earned money in a low class establishment.
SO... yeah, well the music was mostly not to my taste, 'cause I'm a hardcore rock chick and well certain types of music don't sit well with me. I cannot dance to a song that basically states that the person wants violent congress with you, whether you want it or not, and I refuse to support any song that advocates violences against the queer community. So there was that, but I did get to let my hair down for a few sets over the course of the night. Alas not a single rock tune was played, they did give me 2 to 3 trance tracks but it was not enough.
Anyway enough about that aspect of the night......MY main highlight was the Zen girls...the dancers who dance on the bar top......ummmm **pant** so yeah I fell in love....and yes the dancer is female....but I couldn't help it....she is HOT!!!! as in Ay Caramba! Dear god and the girl can move, there were two others who also had great moves but my eyes were glued to J....my my my my my.laurapetri had to peel my eyes away literally as I had to watch her the entire night.
The trip home was made in the tray of a pickup since we could not contact the ride we had arranged previously. I had no real qualms about it aside from the fact that it is...illegal....oh well. I reached home at 3:48 am and managed to get up and make it for Japanese class this morning at 9 am.
Dread I have to say that it was a really great adventure and I'd like to do it again sometime.
