People how on earth do I post quiz results and any sort of images on my lj????

I've consulted the FAQ but it reads like stereo instructions and I know I'm doing it all wrong cause after a whole 2.5 hours    I still can't do it. I keep getting the box with a red x in it and boy is that pissing me off...AARRARARARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!
