I watched A Dog's Breakfast this weekend and my God it was one of the funniest things I have seen in ages. David Hewlett will do anything for the sake of a great show. I love how he threw himself into the making of this movie so wholeheartedly. It was not predictable at all. I loved his character of Patrick...and oh my good god...Paul Mcgillion...LOL. You have to see this to believe it.

LOL the squeaky sneakers, the spiders.....oh god the sensitive male friend.......

PEOPLE GO FORTH AND WATCH THIS MOVIE NOW!!!!!

Oi wicked_liz and laurapetri   I will bring it for you....we should totally crash at wicked_liz  's so we can raid her computer and also watch this movie.

Just a short fan girl post to say that David Hewlett's A Dog's Breakfast has landed in the lovely islands of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean!!!!!





I got my Amazon package last night and within it amid the lovely novels I have bought was this wonderful gem....my plans for it include a marathon viewing session with Sushi from Benihana as soon as I finish my exam at 1 pm.

I'm off to write it this morning and I'm going early so that hopefully what hasn't sunk in will this morning as I cram a final time.

I can't wait to get home.

OMG I HAVE BROADBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The poor cable guy spent almost 3 hours running the wires and then installing the modem but the end result is that I now have fricking broadband unlimited internet!!!!!!! I never have to wait to download stuff again!!!!!


OMG GOD!!!!!!!!! *SQUEEEEEE*

Of course it would happen on the day before a major exam but OMG BROADBAND!!!!!!!

I saw this popping up on my flist and decided to give it a try. Its kind of scary how accurate those negative traits are. Overall though its pretty true.

Since my obsession with Stargate Atlantis has exploded into new realms of crazy, I've been reading good fics, memorying good fics and just simply loving the entire fandom.

Whether its loving teh goofiness of Joe Flanigan, or the sheer poetry that is David Hewlett, I've just been wallowing in the good stuff. I'm making another stock rec post to keep tags of stuff that I just haveto check back on.

Saturday February 2nd 2008 was wickedliz's birthday so laurapetri and I visited....As always when we get together there is laughter, misuse of teh internet and oogling of pretty Japanese people. We spent the day in various states of discussion, eating, discussion, squeeing, discussion, Gackt! Stalking/Watching, discussion, anime reviewing, discussion and the like. 

I love it when we aren't rushed and have lots of time to sit around and do what we love. We gave her a chinese screen and display chopsticks respectively and hopefully she will post pics of these so we can show them off...**BIG HINT**

We had to leave earlyish though as we both had other commitments in the night. laurapetri and I both made time for DVD hunts and icecream though which made us later than ever but we only ever see each other like this on occasion so it was okay.

I had to rush home to get some sleep in for a fete I was going to called INSOMIA. So named since it begins at midnight and continues on into the next day ending at noon. Alas I was so wired upon my return home that I couldn't sleep and after tossing and turning for 2 hrs I gave up and went online. My brother came by to pick me up after midnight since you never go for the start of these things and we spent 2 and a half hours in traffic. We finally arrived at the venue MOBS2 just before 3 am and boy oh boy talk about the sea of humanity. There were thousands of people there....a heavyish police presence as well and for once the eye candy was everywhere. I had a great time, my feet were killing me though since you have to stand up for  the entire thing. The best part of the event was the appearance of one of our most beloved performers Machel Monatno who came on stage at dawn, it was very cool as he came on just as the sun was rising and that hyped up the crowd to an almost transcendental state. He performed for close to 2 hrs and there was much dancing, chipping, moving, gyrating and screaming. It was great fun. We left before the end of the thing though 'cause we wanted to beat the traffic to get out and really after Machel, there was no one who I thought could compare.

The drive home was very quick and mostly smooth with a single exception as my brother can be a bit of an unhearing ass whenever I try to tell him that he drives too fast. I got home in one piece though, had doubles fro breakfast and after dropping me home he proceeded down south to his home. I went straight to bed and woke up after 4 pm. 

I caught a cold though as in the wee hours of the morning they decided to spray the crowd down with ice cold water and I got soaked damnit. Right now I have a sore throat and am spitting up phelgm. I hope that with the application of lots of over the counter drugs that I will feel better but only time will tell. To make matters worse my cycle made an appearance this morning at 3 am so yeah I'm sick, cranky , bloated and miserable. 

What a way to end an other wise great weekend. 

In the interest of trying to move away from the humdrum that was my life in 2007, I have done a few drastic things. I cut all my hair off and lost a bit of weight. Its amazing what a little weight loss will do for your self esteem and general outlook. Not to mention of course what a change a haircut makes. In RL I had long black curly hair that was just above my butt, it tended to get lanky when I went too long without a haircut and started to thin out. It did look really nice when it was left open though. For the new year and my birthday, I decided to cut it shorter and lighten it. I went by Jowelle...a very professional salon owner who caused a bit of a scandal in my country as she is a male to female transsexual who has had the complete surgery as rumor suggests. But no matter, the fact is that she is absolutely gorgeous and  very skilled.  When she was through with me I looked completely different and  I felt beautiful. I don't feel that way often even though people like to say that I'm pretty. Most of the time I feel pretty ugly and fat, so to actually see a difference and a different me has gone a long way in starting off the new year on a happier note.

Still  have no contract  at work though, so I will not be paid this month which is going to suck, but they are working on it so I have that assurance at least.

I hope to find a companion this year, I'm even  thinking of joining some of  those online dating sites and seeing what happens.....one thing though do they cater for as I've learned we're really called from olympia_m ambisexual persons???

Anyone have any experience in these things???? Suggestions are welcome.
Loneliness was a big factor in my depressive state last year, I don't want to feel so down again.
